I'm Ray Briseño. Artist, musician, and proud father of Lord Huron's Miguel Briseño. I make stained glass and folk art by hand in my home studio outside Lansing, Michigan.
Have a piece of art in mind? I love working with on custom pieces like Lord Huron-inspired stained glass, paintings, and more. Drop me a message at ray@rayelpintor.com and we can talk about it together.
I've been making stained glass for over a decade. I'm a big fan of Frank Lloyd Wright's stained glass work, you'll see his influence in a lot of my pieces. Everything is designed and built by hand in my home studio in Michigan.
Official Lord Huron Stained Glass Emerald Star
Inspired by the epic odyssey, Vide Noir, this emerald star is a lens, a portal, across dimensions and into the cosmos.
In 2020, my son's band Lord Huron asked me to create a stained glass Emerald Star inspired by their album Vide Noir. I made 75 of them, each one handcut, copper-foiled, and soldered in my studio.
"Each piece is unique and has been crafted with care and love for my son and the band, and appreciation for all the fans."
- Ramiro
The Emerald Stars are gone, but I'm always up for new projects. Here is a recent stained glass piece I designed for someone. If you have an idea or want to work together on something, I'd love to chat. Reach out at ray@rayelpintor.com.
I've been painting for as long as I can remember. My style is rooted in Mexican folk art. It's a big part of who I am and where I come from. I mostly work with acrylics, and I'll paint on just about anything: canvas, tiles, windows, whatever I can get my hands on.
One of my favorite techniques is reverse glass painting, where you paint on the back of a clear window, backwards and in reverse order, so the finished image shows through the front.
